In these difficult times we remain a Church, and we remain the Body of Christ, and worship must still be a key part of our lives. To that end we have prepared something for the whole Church to watch (or listen to) and will do so for each Sunday whilst we cannot physically meet together.

Notice of Cancellations
Following guidelines from the Government, and also clear and unambiguous direction given by other Christian bodies to their respective congregations – including the FIEC, the Baptist Union, the Methodist Church and the Church of England, it has been decided that ALL Bethesda’s public services, meetings, ministries, and any related social gatherings are cancelled with immediate effect and without exception. The cancellations will initially be until after Easter Weekend (Tuesday 14th April) , and will be reassessed on a regular basis as the situation unfolds and Government advice is updated. We will keep you advised as we are able of any changes to this policy.
We are very keen to continue to provide ongoing ministry and social and pastoral care & support in these days. Please be assured that we are actively working to provide weekly recordings for people to watch or listen to in their homes, and we will also be providing the Family News to keep everyone informed and connected. The Pastoral Care and Visitation Team are maintaining contact through letters & phone calls, and there may be those who will appreciate additional help and support in the coming weeks so please make any needs known to a member of the Diaconate or to the Pastoral Care and Visitation Team.
We are exploring further ways of social connection and prayer across the Church family through digital means, to help maintain the sense of family, and will share more when we have established these arrangements. Let’s rise to the challenge to be creative in the ways that we can support and encourage each other in these days while not being able to meet together.
These are very unusual times but we have a God who is Sovereign and more than sufficient for our needs. Our Motto Text is of great comfort and blessing:
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41 v 10.
