Can Traditional Thesis Binding Survive in a Digital Only Graduation Era?

Is it possible for the classic thesis binding to survive in the digital-only graduation era? The trend of universities accepting digital files instead of printed ones is reducing the necessity of physically bind a thesis. Nevertheless, there is still something very classic about having a bound copy of your delivered work. For a lot of people, it is an emblem of success—something that can be touched, given to parents, or put on the shelf with admiration. Although electronic files are easy to access, they do not have that enduring physical presence. Thus, even in a world where paper is not used, binding a thesis may not totally go away—it could only change from being a prerequisite to being a personal choice of great meaning.
