Indoor play centre in Chermside: what it’s like and who it suits
Hey everyone,
Full disclosure: I work with this place. I figured a straight explainer might help other Brisbane families, so here’s what you’d want to know.
WHAT IT IS
EKPE Activate Games is an indoor play centre in Brisbane. It’s Queensland’s first Activate Games Sport Arena. Four game rooms, over 500 games, and they all react to how you move. You dodge, jump, aim and race the clock.
THE FOUR ROOMS
Super Grid, Laser Maze, Devil’s Eyes and Hyper Hoops.
WHO IT SUITS
Ages from about 6 up, adults and grandparents included. The difficulty adjusts to each player, so a 7-year-old and a 40-year-old can share a room and both have a go. You don’t need to be sporty.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Most groups spend 60 to 90 minutes
Wear comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes
Weekends and school holidays fill up, so book ahead
It’s fully indoors, so it’s a solid option for rainy days
PARTIES AND GROUPS
It works as a kids birthday party venue, and we also host teen parties, school groups and team events. No mess at home and no cleanup.
If you’re stuck for things to do in Brisbane with kids this weekend, it might be worth a look.
